Visualization Specialist

Leckie Studio Architecture + Design is looking for a highly skilled and organized Visualization Specialist to join our Vancouver studio.

Visualizations form a key part of the Studio’s design process. As a Visualization specialist, you’ll be working directly with all members of the office to Visualize, iterate and develop designs. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of 3ds Max, and will have an efficient and flexible workflow.

Our 3D artists complete all roles of production ranging from 3D model translation, 3D modelling of buildings, environments, or large-scale masterplans, texture and material creation, lighting, interior design and styling, rendering, post-production and final output.

Responsibilities

Working directly with the architecture team to create photo-real renderings for both design development and publication
Working alongside the Visualization Director to manage projects and asset libraries

Qualifications

Education in and/or passion for creative disciplines including; architecture, photography, fine art, animation
Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a professional architectural Visualization role
Special consideration for those with work experience in British Columbia
Must reside in Vancouver, BC or willing to relocate
Must have working status in Canada

Excellent technical knowledge including

Lighting, texturing and modelling within 3ds Max + Corona
Experience with ForestPack + RailClone
Experience with Unreal and/or Cinema 4D is an additional asset
Proficient in Photoshop
A portfolio that demonstrates a strong eye for composition
Fluency in English

Senior Architect


Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience
Proficient in Revit
Passive House and/or LEED® certifications are an asset
Special consideration for those with work experience in British Columbia
Registered with AIBC or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
Must reside in Vancouver, BC or willing to relocate
Must have working status in Canada
Have exceptional design skills and a strong critical perspective
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Self-motivated team player and team leader that enjoys working collaboratively
Strong communication skills (written and verbal in English)
Team player, positive attitude

Excellent technical knowledge including

Strong working knowledge of the British Columbia Building Code and local zoning by-laws
Strong technical knowledge in building detailing
Ability to effectively coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities
Experience managing project schedules and budgets
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Design Suites, & Sketchup

Intermediate / Emerging Senior Architect

Responsibilities

Leading projects and exploring design concepts working in collaboration with the Principle Architect and other members of the team
Handling all phases of design with a major emphasis on project management, construction drawings, and contract administration
Maintaining effective liaison with clients and consultants

Qualifications

6 to 8+ years of experience in a variety of project types with emphasis on single-family residential projects and interiors with minimum 3 years of Canadian experience. Special consideration for those with work experience in British Columbia.
Registered with AIBC or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
Must reside in Vancouver, BC or willing to relocate
Must have working status in Canada
Have exceptional design skills and a strong critical perspective
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated leadership skills

Senior Architectural Technologist

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience
Proficient in Revit
Passive House and/or LEED® certifications are an asset
Architectural Technologist Diploma is an asset
Must reside in Vancouver, BC or willing to relocate
Must have working status in Canada
Special consideration for those with work experience in British Columbia


Excellent technical knowledge including

British Columbia Building Code
Strong technical skills with the ability to translate design intent into construction detailing with high attention to detail
Experience with all phases of design with a major emphasis on working drawings and contract administration
Experience with High-Rise/Mixed Use Residential and Commercial
Excellent communicator both oral and written English
Ability to handle multiple project responsibilities simultaneously
Preparing design drawings for Development Permit documents
Producing working drawings and construction detailing for tender and construction
Conducting field reviews and reports during construction
Experience with consultant coordination and liaising with clients and authorities
Strong working knowledge of Part 3 & 9 of the BC Building Code
Must be registered with the AIBC or eligible to register in the province of British Columbia
